Britain Pledges more Weapons to Kyiv: Kremlin took it Extremely Negative

The United Kingdom pledged Ukraine to Provide more weapons for war. The move termed by Kremlin “Extremely Negative”.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukraine’s Premier visited London and met his counterpart, Rishi Sunak. He was greeted by the Premier with shake hand a hug that showed a warm welcome.

The Points to Focus:

Zelensky is visiting European Countries to acquire more aid and support. He is visiting London for the second time after the Ukrainian invasion of Russia.

United Kingdom, a staunch ally of Kiev, promised to provide hundreds more missiles and drone attackers in order to change the course of war.

Zelensky is vising Europe from the past few days with the aim to acquire more aid, especially military support to prepare Ukraine to retake its territory seized by Russia.

UK has proven that it is one of the major allies of Ukraine. it also had sent short-ranged missiles, challenger tanks and trained 15,000 of Ukrainian soldiers on its soil.

Last week, UK openly announced that it had sent Ukraine its storm shadow missiles with a range of about 250 kilometres.

The Kremlin Response:

The Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin took Britain’s pledge to provide Ukraine with more weapons “Extremely Negatively”, but he added that such efforts wouldn’t not drastically change the course of war in Ukraine.

Peskov was quoted as saying that “Britain desire to be at the forefront among the countries who prompted and provided weapons to Ukraine” but “We repeat once again, these effort yield not any fundamental change instead of more destruction and chaos.”

UK’s Response:

Rishi Sunak, in response, vowed for a long-term support to Ukraine by confirming to provide air defense missiles, long range attack drones (with a range of 200 km or 120 miles).

He added that this is a crucial moment for Ukraine as it did not chose or provoke the aggression.

He also urged the support of international community to defend the country against indiscriminate attacks became reality in the daily routine over a year.

Sunak will also push the allies for more support to Ukraine in upcoming meeting of G-7 in Japan later this week.
